Replacing a Front Door (or two!)

When we bought this house we knew something had to be done with the front doors. There are two insulated doors the true front door and then the one leading into the house from the entryway, which was the original front door. The entryway was an add on by the previous owner and has no HVAC.

We decided to replace the solid green steel entry door with a 15 Lite Primed White Majestic Steel Exterior Door to allow more light into the living room much like the front door. For the new, true, front door we wanted to make a statement with a solid wood door but have a little more privacy so we chose the Craftsman 9 Lite Stained Mahogany Wood Prehung Front Door with the Schlage Sense smart deadbolt and entry handle. We love how it turned out. For all the details of the installation make sure to head over to our post on The Home Depot blog.

Disclosure: We were compensated and the doors were provided by The Home Depot in exchange for my post on their blog. However, I wouldn’t have changed a thing had I had to pay for them out of pocket.
