How to Build an Open Storage Unit

  5. Cutting Hole for Power Strip


    This is a good time to add a cut out for your flush mounted power strip if you would like. This should be cut to fit.

    Don’t forget to drill a hole in the back for your power cord!

  6. Applying a Finish


    This is the point where you need to go ahead and paint the base of the cabinet. Also note that you will need to paint the outside edge banding of the slide out shown in the next step and the drawer front in the last step.
