Description
These mahjong table plans walk you through a 42″ square table that seats four, one player per side, with room for racks and a mat. It looks like the $1,399 Pottery Barn game table and does something that one can’t: the legs fold under on locking brackets, so you carry it in one hand and it hides in a closet until game night.
Everything comes from half a sheet of 3/4″ plywood, two 1x4x8s, two 1x4x6s and two 1x3x6s, plus a set of folding leg brackets. The legs are two boards glued into an L and tapered, so they read like real furniture instead of a card table. The scalloped apron is an optional step with its own diagram. Tools are basic: a table saw or circular saw, a miter saw, a pocket hole jig and a drill.
The PDF includes a full cut list with a cutting diagram, a shopping list with what mine cost, dimensioned diagrams for all five steps, a fastener key on every step, finishing notes with the paint color we used, an FAQ, troubleshooting, and a QR link to the build video.
