3 Bathrooms | 3 Different Styles

If you follow along with the Dream House Build series then you probably know (or can guess it from the title) we are building our dream house. In this dream house of ours we decided to do somewhat of an all-suite layout. That being said, our 4-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son, each will have their very own bathroom. As well, the two guest rooms in the basement will have a Jack and Jill bathroom between them. More bathrooms means more time and money to get them finished. So we partnered with The Home Depot, Delta and DAP to make this dream come true on time and within budget. See all the details of how we did it on The Home Depot blog.

One of the most time-consuming parts of a bathroom is the tile. Floor tile is one thing, that goes down pretty easily, but the wall tile is a lot more difficult in my opinion. Luckily Delta came out with something to solve that problem. The new UPstile shower and tub wall system consists of three panels that are screwed and adhered to the studs with DAP 3.0 Kitchen, Bath and Plumbing Sealant. It’s great because these panels cover and waterproof the walls with a subway tile look, while leaving you a channel to insert a decorative tile row. However, you can’t tile this channel with traditional thinset. Instead you use DAP 3.0 which has excellent adhesion qualities while remaining flexible. To see all our tile choices and how they turned out check out the full blog post on The Home Depot blog.

Then, we laid down some amazing floor tile, set the vanities, and had our plumber hook up the fixtures. For our son’s bathroom we went with a woodsy modern theme. Our daughters bathroom is feminine and transitional in style, while the guest bathroom has a swanky mid-century modern vide.
