Slim Rolling Storage Cart
One of the coolest things about what I do is having the opportunity to work with some awesome folks. This time it’s Beckie from Infarrantly Creative! I was so honored when she turned to me to write the for plans for her laundry room storage cart. She told me she wanted a slim rolling storage cart for in between her washer and dryer to hold all the laundry room essentials, so thats exactly what I gave her! What an awesome job she did on it! That slim rolling cart caught my eye!! I’ve been thinking and thinking how to add more storage in our closet. Think I just might have figured out my boot storage issues. Just need to adjust the height and width for our boot size. I can make his and hers with storage on top for the over abundance of ball caps!!!
Great idea for boot storage. Extra closet storage is always a plus. Be sure to post some pictures of your build.

I was looking for something like that, just adjusting the size… But here is my question:
In step 2, You said you glued AND nailed the shelves to the frot and back, but you any actually see the nails in the front!
Please explain, because this is my problem right now, that I don’t know how to “hide the nails” since I want a neat and clear front, as seen in the pictures.

Hey Laura! If you nail those in with 18 gauge brad nails you can fill the holes with a touch of wood filler and no one will ever know they are there. Happy building!
So, my husband is new to woodworking, but since he’s an engineer I thought, “Hey! He could easily make me a few of these carts for my craft room!” Little did I know this would spawn a monster – a WOODWORKING MONSTER! He not only finished making these carts for me, but he’s already made two twin beds for our little boys! He tweaked the cart design slightly to accommodate more of my crafting junk, and after asking Beckie (from Infarrantly Creative) about beadboard, created the most gorgeous pair of rolling carts than have ever been created, or ever will be created!! 🙂 (At least I think they’re the most beautiful!) Thank you, Rogue Engineer and Beckie, for not only inspiring my wonderful husband to create more organization for my growing crafting/sewing loft, but for giving him such an amazingly fun hobby!

Thanks for these plans! I modified them a bit because my cart had to sit next to my dryer, and that’s where the vent tube comes out of the wall. So to maximize space, i made the bottom two shelves 14.5” long and then I did a 19” long top shelf and used a couple of corner brackets underneath it to help stabilize. So far it seems to be working great! This was also my first ever project using a Kreg jig, and I can’t believe it took me so long to get one- I’m obsessed!
