Modern Reclaimed Pub Table

Modern Reclaimed Pub Table - DIY Plans - Rogue Engineer

Inspired by the reclaimed wood stains from Varathane, we came up with this awesome modern planked pub table. We love the reclaimed modern look and were inspired by a trip to a local reclaimed lumber yard. So here is our take on reclaimed… well kinda! Enjoy!

A modified version for end tables would look fantastic! I would love to make a coffee table/storage chest that looks similar.

Basically cut all dimensions in half for an end table version. Came out really cool and much lighter than the original version, attaching the top with a hinge would be a great idea for storage.

Instead of using pocket holes to attach the 2×4’s to the 4×4 legs, do you think using biscuit joints would be adequate?

Maybe. But you could always just put a couple screws through the 2×4 on an angle.

Decided to try to biscuit it together. Worked out great. Used a natural shade for the douglas fir legs and top border, with barnwood from a fallen New England barn for the top.comment image

Really like this pub table design. The table I want to build has a surface of 60×60. I still have the height to be 42. Do you think its possible to adjust your plans to these dimensions?

Excellent set of plans and sturdy table and great design. It’s amazing how the cladding adds to it.My only suggestion is that because the 2x4s get pulled so tightly with the Kreg Jig pocket holes to the posts, all of the 1x’s, which of course were cut to the same size, didn’t go in smoothly so I had to trim each.https://uploads.disquscdn.c

Really enjoyed making this. I am now addicted! A little different take with a shou sugi ban finish on the legs and outer portions of the hexagon top. https://uploads.disquscdn.chttps://uploads.disquscdn.chttps://uploads.disquscdn.c… portions of a hexagon top.
