Jamie has fond memories of her family’s advent calendar as a child. We love Christmas time and want our children to enjoy the holidays just as much as we did when we were little. So the other day when we were having a look through the pottery barn catalog, we came across this Tree Advent Calendar for $179 and we just had to have it. Lucky for us this was an easy build and for only about $50. Here’s how it went… Enjoy!

Jamie decided to go with the american walnut stain from Rust-Oleum and on this cedar it looks amazing!
Step 3: Paint the Numbers on
Use an index card to prevent the paint from running through
Use a stencil to paint the numbers on
Step 4: Stiffen the Bags
Gathering the supplies
Pull the bags over a cup to keep the open shape
Apply the fabric stiffener
Step 5: Attach the Bags to the Tree
Staple the bags to the tree
