Small Outdoor Coffee Table

Small DIY Outdoor Coffee Table Plans - Rogue Engineer

A while back I helped my brother-in-law build a deck. There was a few left over cedar decking boards and I just knew it would make a nice set of outdoor furniture. Although this cedar coffee table is on the small side, it’s really all that’s needed for this set. I was also able to use the leftover deck stain to stain the furniture and I think it came out beautifully. The arm chairs are something I built a while back and you can get the full plans for those here. Enjoy!

Be sure to check out all the outdoor furniture pieces in the set!

Jamison, I have done similar feet in the past. have been using a band saw to roughly round over the feet and then finishing with a belt sander. Once you make the first cut at 22 1/2˚, do you move it one inch or do you simply change the angle on your saw? I think this would be much simpler and faster for me.

    • That looks great Del. After making the 22-1/2 deg cuts on all the boards you would measure in 1″ from the point, transfer that mark to the other side and cut on a 45 from there. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks! Now I get it. You FLIP the board and cut the 45˚ an inch inside. I never thought to flip it. LOL!

I’ve jut started this project and I can’t wait to see the finished product! One note though- in the supply list it lists only one 2×4 but the cut diagram actually calls for two. In the finished picture- did you stain it or paint it? Love that look and would like to duplicate. Thanks for publishing this with easy to follow directions- so awesome of you!
